For many of our team members on the West Coast, we are cherishing the beauty of spring and the blooming flowers, while also acknowledging the storms that brought the rain that created the super-bloom, also deeply impacted the communities we serve.

As a mission-driven organization, our core values include environmental stewardship and community resilience. In the past year Farallon Strategies became a Certified Benefit Corporation. This underscores our commitment to promote the highest standards of social and governance practices in our workspaces, reduce our carbon footprint, and be part of the global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economic system.

We are also excited to announce that we recently joined the 1% for the Planet community, pledging to donate one percent of our revenue towards environmental organizations. As a Certified B Corporation and a 1% for the Planet member, we are proud to make a positive impact on the environment, both through our work and by monetarily contributing to organizations that extend the reach of our environmental impact.

As our team continues to expand, environmental justice and equity are ever present in our mindset and actions. We strive to establish company partnerships and connections that are diverse in thought, experience, race, gender, and much more. With vulnerable and disadvantaged communities bearing the brunt of climate change impacts, we continually aim to shift power and resources to ensure they are heard and protected.

Every year, Earth Day serves as a reminder of the urgency of environmental work and reconnecting with the beauty of nature. At Farallon Strategies, we are taking advantage of our four-day work week and flexible work hours to spend quality time with our families and friends, go on hikes, volunteer in our communities, explore state-side and internationally, and spend some time in our own gardens. As we celebrate this day, we encourage everyone to commit to actions that support systems change in support of the preservation and improvement of our environment. We look forward to spending  the year with you all, as we work towards a greener and more sustainable world.
